13 members braved the 20° temperature and 15 MPH West winds to bring in the New Year in style.  We gathered at J&D Bicycle Shop, rode out past the high school, through downtown and out to the East end of town as we were beginning to experience snow flurries.  We stopped for breakfast at Bob Evans where we were joined by Bill and Kitty Hanz, Scott Kohler and others.  Although we only rode about 7 miles, we enjoyed a time of food, fun and fellowship.  After breakfast, we noticed that the snow was beginning to stick to the pavement.  We went outside to head back when I found that my back tire tire was flat.  Luckily, I was able to get a ride back to the bike shop.  I was not looking forward to riding back since I had never ridden in those conditions.  A great way to kick off the new year!
